Whattup y’all! It’s been a little bit since I wrote one of these, so I figured I would check in with some stray thoughts and updates before this just became “something I used to do”.
DIFTUG Season 2 is in full effect!
The main thing that’s taken my attention away from writing has been VIDEO EDITING! Do It For The Underground just started it’s second season on YouTube. Episode one dropped one week ago today. If you haven’t watched it yet, please do! I did my best to catch you up on the big things that happened since we took a break after Season 1, Fatz interviewed Tom Martino about his new AI album and his history in the masks business and Somethin Outta Nothin himself checked in with a brief update from the Evil Across America Tour. It was a fun episode to put together.
Working on DIFTUG episodes takes me somewhere between 10-15 hours, between filming, editing and all that. It’s a labor of love, but once I finish an episode, I gotta crash for like a week and just do nothing. But that week has come and gone and I’m officially starting filming for Episode 2 tomorrow! I’m traveling up to Seattle, WA to meet up with the LLE tour and film some super exciting stuff. If all goes to plan, it will likely be my favorite episode of the show yet! If it doesn’t work out, forget I said anything and enjoy a subpar episode!
Anyway, if S.O.N kidnaps me again and this is my last newsletter, it’s been a good run.
Gods of Evil Rise is in full effect!
Alla Xul Elu first posted a photo of themselves in the studio with Mike E Clark on November 9, 2021. They were in the studio recording an album called Gods of Evil Rise with the legendary producer. After years of setbacks, that album went up for pre-order on March 28, 2025. The album will be released on May 9, 2025. That puts exactly three and a half years to the day between the posting of this photo and the release of the album. Here are a few things that happened in that time:
Literally every Camp Xul
The photo above was posted on November 9, 2021. The first Camp Xul started just three days later, on November 12, 2021. This means literally every single Camp Xul has taken place with Gods of Evil Rise “coming soon”. It is insane to realize that Camp Xul 5 will be the first ever Camp Xul to take place after attendees have heard the album.
Super Famous Fun Time Guys released four projects on Long Live Evil
While Alla Xul Elu’s highly anticipated album was held in limbo, Super Famous Fun Time Guys kept the LLE flag held high by releasing Mom’s Not Offended, She’s Concerned, H.EP: Advent, I’ll Tell You When I Want to Laugh by Laughing and They Wouldn’t Let Us Film Here, Vol. 1, as well as two collaborative projects(one of which we’ll get to shortly).
SFFTG also played the Gathering of the Juggalos main stage twice, in 2022 and 2024, toured, both with Klokwerk E and the rest of LLE roster and just generally worked their asses off in this period and are largely responsible for keeping the Long Live Evil brand thriving in an era where their label heads were held up in Purgatory.
Alla Xul Elu released Lost Lake Estates and The Magic Xul Bus EP
Xul weren’t completely silent in the years that GOER was held up. While their highly anticipated album was being held out of reach, they managed to drop a different highly anticipated album, Lost Lake Estates, a full length collaborative project with label mates Super Famous Fun Time Guys. Lost Lake Estates was considered an instant classic among the Xuligan base and helped to hold people over while they waited for GOER to finally drop.
Alla Xul Elu also dropped the Magic Xul Bus EP as well as a large handful of standalone singles, making for a total of 28 songs released by the Xul boys while GOER was on hold.
Somethin Outta Nothin was signed to LLE and released The Bastard Son
Somethin Outta Nothin aka S.O.N was announced as the latest signee to the Long Live Evil record label at the end of the LLE set at Camp Xul 3. Between that night and today, S.O.N has been on a crazy run, playing the Gathering of the Juggalos, continuing to grow his own fan base and finally releasing his Long Live Evil debut, The Bastard Son, on March 9, 2025. S.O.N’s presence on the scene has been incredibly important in keeping the LLE brand on people’s minds while Xul has been in hiding.
That’s a lot of stuff! But what’s the point?
Great question!
I don’t list all of these things to rub it in or make Xul look bad, but to prove a point. This album has been sitting in Purgatory for a long fucking time and it is FINALLY here. You can literally pre order it right now and you should! We’ve all been waiting for this thing for literal YEARS. Now that it’s here, CELEBRATE IT! Buy the goddamn thing, share the shit out of the pre order and pre save links. Tell your friends about it. Once it drops, add it to your playlists, help promote it in your local area. This thing has been a long, long, LONG time coming and now that it’s here, give it the warm welcome it deserves.
Mike E Clark, who, if you somehow don’t realize it, produced ALL of Insane Clown Posse’s music between 1993 and 2000. He has also worked with Esham, Twiztid, Kid Rock, George Clinton, Prozak, Boondox, Blaze Ya Dead Homie and now, THE MOTHERFUCKING ALLA XUL ELU! This is the first album Mike has produced in full since ICP’s The Mighty Death Pop in 2012! That means Mike E Clark has not produced a record in full for THIRTEEN YEARS and Alla Xul Elu were the ones to get him back to it. Think about how fucking huge that is! Celebrate that!
Gods of Evil Rise will undeniably be a huge record for Alla Xul Elu. It will be a huge record for the juggalo/underground/horrorcore/whatever scene. It will be a huge deal for ME! Go buy a copy, support the boys, make this album the fucking EVENT that it deserves to be and go catch Alla Xul Elu on the Evil Across America Tour.
